Assistant Professor of Economic History at the Department of Economics and Statistics, University of Siena. He graduated in History at the University of Pisa, and received a Masters’ degree in Economics from the University of Pisa and Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, and a PhD in Economics from IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca. His research aims to explain changes in living standards across Europe between 1300 and 1900 with a focus on France and England. He is also interested in the causes and consequences of economic growth and technological change.
